Payment Terms

These Payment Terms govern all payment transactions, billing rules, transaction security, chargeback and refund payment procedures for orders placed on www.kailyn.shop. This policy complies with Australian Consumer Law (ACL), Australian payment regulatory standards, and Shopify payment platform rules. This document is supplementary to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Shipping Policy and Return & Refund Policy.

1. Transaction Currency & Tax Rule

  • All product prices, shipping fees, surcharges and checkout fees on this Australian store are billed inAustralian Dollar (AUD).
  • All displayed checkout amounts are inclusive of Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST) as required by Australian federal tax regulations.
  • No hidden checkout fees, handling fees or transaction service fees will be added at checkout stage.
  • If customers use overseas bank cards, card-issuing banks may charge international currency conversion fees, which are borne solely by the customer.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

Kailyn supports secure third-party encrypted payment gateways for all Australia domestic checkout, available payment options are listed below:

  • Digital Wallet Payments: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay

Notice: Kailyn does not process cash on delivery (COD), bank deposit, money order or offline manual payments for Australian orders.

3. Order Payment Authorization & Charging Rules

  • Upon submitting your order, you authorize Kailyn and its official payment providers to deduct the full order amount (products + shipping + remote surcharge) from your selected payment method.
  • Pre-authorization check: A temporary fund hold may apply to verify card validity, the hold will be automatically released within 1-3 banking days if the order is cancelled before processing.
  • Orders will only enter packaging and shipping process after full payment is successfully confirmed.
  • Coupon codes, discount vouchers and store credits must be applied before payment confirmation; no post-payment price deduction or partial refund for missed discounts.

4. Payment Security & Customer Data Protection

  • All checkout payment pages adopt SSL end-to-end encryption, compliant with global PCI DSS payment security standards.
  • Kailyn will not store your full credit card number, CVV code, expiry date or sensitive banking details on our website server.
  • All payment data is processed and stored by certified Australian regulated payment providers only.
  • Customers shall keep their payment account and card information confidential; Kailyn is not liable for unauthorized payment caused by user information leakage.

5. Refund Payment Processing Rules

All refunds follow the refund pathway stated in our official Return & Refund Policy:
  • All approved refunds will be issued back to the original payment method only, no cross-method refund allowed.
  • Refund processing period: 5-10 Australian business days for internal approval and issuance.
  • Fund arrival timeline: 7-14 business days, depending on customer’s bank, card issuer or PayPal internal processing speed.
  • Original shipping fees are non-refundable for change-of-mind voluntary returns.
  • Any currency conversion fees incurred during original payment will not be refunded by Kailyn.

6. Failed, Declined & Duplicate Payments

  • Payment declined reasons: insufficient balance, expired bank card, bank risk control restriction, invalid billing information, cross-border payment limit.
  • Failed payments will not reserve inventory; customers need to re-place orders and complete payment to restock items.
  • If duplicate unauthorized deduction occurs due to system error, customers can email hello@kailyn.shop with order screenshots to apply for full duplicate refund within 3 business days.

7. Fraudulent Payment & Chargeback Policy

  • Fraudulent payment, stolen card payment, fake identity checkout, malicious chargeback behaviors are strictly prohibited.
  • Kailyn reserves the right to cancel orders, suspend user accounts, report illegal transactions to Australian payment regulatory authorities for verified fraudulent payments.
  • Customers who initiate unreasonable chargebacks without contacting after-sales team first will be restricted from future checkout on www.kailyn.shop.
  • Valid chargeback applications must provide delivery proof, product fault photos and official return approval records for review.

8. Billing Information Responsibility

  • Customers must provide consistent, valid billing address matching their bank card registered address to avoid payment failure.
  • Billing address modification is only available before payment completion.
  • Any payment failure risk caused by mismatched billing information shall be undertaken by the customer.

9. Order Suspension & Payment Cancellation Right

Kailyn reserves the right to cancel pending paid orders without prior notice under the following conditions:
  • Payment is marked risky or abnormal by payment gateway risk system
  • False billing, delivery or user identity information is submitted
  • Item out of stock, inventory error or supply chain emergency issues
Cancelled paid orders will receive a full refund to the original payment method.

10. Policy Update & Legal Compliance

Kailyn may update this Payment Terms to comply with updated Australian payment laws, bank rules and Shopify platform regulations. Revised terms will be published on www.kailyn.shop with updated date, effective immediately after publication. Continued checkout behavior represents acceptance of updated payment rules.
